AC/DC Fan Longs For BON SCOTT's Erection
October 28, 2005AC/DC fan Doug Thorncroft is currently campaigning to have a statue erected in honor of late AC/DC singer Bon Scott in the Australian city of Fremantle. For further details, visit www.bonscott.com.au.
In other news, current AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson makes a cameo appearance in the 2005 film "Goal" where he appears as a Newcastle United fan. Brian appears in two scenes in the film (both in an L.A. bar) — the first when Newcastle play Fulham and the second at the end when Newcastle beat Liverpool. It's only a tiny cameo role although he gives it all he's got and is very animated. He's not really acting, though — just doing what he does every Saturday when Newcastle play! His only line in the film comes when the young Santiago Munez character first plays. All the guys are crowded round the bar in L.A. watching it on TV. Brian says, "Who the hell is that?" Then Santiago's Dad steps forward and says (all proud) "That's my son." Check put pictures of Brian's cameo appearance in "Goal" at this location.
